Marriage and Divorce
- Q: I am married to a Japanese person, but want to get a divorce. After the divorce, I want to go back to my own country. Can I get palimony?

The Shimane International Center (SIC) in cooperation with the Shimane Gyosei Shoshi-kai (Administrative Scrivener’s Association) runs a free legal consultation service. You can get free, expert advice on the procedures and on the palimony during your divorce.
The free consultation of the administrative scrivener is available once a month (at the Eastern and Western branches), but pre-booking the service is required.
The Volunteer Community Interpreter Service is also available. (Application necessary)

You can use the free administrative sounselling service the SIC provides for information on administrative procedures. (Booking required)
If you require an interpreter, SIC can dispatch a Community Volunteer Interpreter.
