Support international students through scholarship donations.
Shimane International Center has been providing scholarships for international students since 1995 to support privately funded international students enrolled in universities and other institutions within the prefecture.
This scholarship will be funded by donations from prefectural residents and the prefecture’s own financial resources, and will provide a monthly payment of 20,000 yen.
In recent years, the number of international students not only attending universities but also vocational schools and other institutions throughout the prefecture has been increasing. Many of these students are from Asian countries, and because the cost of living in Japan is higher than in their home countries, they are financially struggling and are studying hard while working part-time jobs.
We ask for your cooperation so that we can continue to support many privately funded international students.
