Shimane Prefecture Toshimane International Center will hold a program “2023 Wings of Exchange in Shimane” for exchange between foreign youth and Japanese youth living in Shimane!

We look forward to the participation of foreign youth living in Shimane Prefecture.

We are looking for more foreign youth.

Targets are foreigners living in Shimane Prefecture aged between 18 and 35 years old (as of April 1, 2023).

The deadline for the applications is August 28th (Monday) . First-come, first-served basis.

1. First exchange program

Content

  • We will have an opening ceremony.
  • Self introduction.
  • Play games and have fun.

2. Second exchange program

Date and time

September 23rd (Saturday) 10:00am – 4:30pm

Venue

Matsue Tersa (478-18 Asahimachi, Matsue City), Matsue city

Content

Interact with people while walking around Matsue city.

3.Third exchange program

Date and time

October 21st (Saturday) 10:00am – 5:00pm

Venue

Shinji Furusato Forest Park (3353-2 Sasabu, Shinji-cho, Matsue City)

Content

  • Listen to stories about forests.
  • Nature Trail: Walk in groups through the forest park and answer quizzes at checkpoints.
  • Enjoy a lunch cooked in a bamboo tube.
  • Hands-on activities (contents are being adjusted)

Target audience

Foreigners living in Shimane Prefecture aged 18 to 30 (as of April 1, 2023)

Number of people

21 people (first-come-first-served basis)

Language

The exchange program will be in Japanese language.

English, Chinese, Tagalog, Portuguese and Vietnamese will be interpreted as needed.

Others

Please participate all of the program, first (September 2), second (September 23), and third (October 21) exchange programs. (You cannot participate only once.)

Entry fee

free of charge in principle.

The Shimane International Center will bear the cost of public transportation within Shimane Prefecture.
