Information for Disaster Prevention

Hello!- from SIC
[Information for Disaster Prevention]We have "Disaster prevention and volunteering day" on Jan. 17th and "Disaster prevention and volunteering week" from Jan. 15th to Jan. 21st in Japan since 1996.
Objective: Raising awareness of preventing disaster and volunteering when it occurs.
The Great Hanshin Earthquake struck the Kansai region at 5:46a.m. on January 17th, 1995. Many Japanese people and foreign residents became victims of the earthquake.
We had intensity 3 in Shimane at that time. We also had harm by earthquakes and heavy rains in the past.
It is very important for us to know in advance disaster prevention to reduce damage when it occurs.
HP of Shimane International Center has information about the disaster prevention.
The Disaster Handbook posted on this hp is made in Japanese, English, Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Tagalog. Please do download and check it.
* When a major disaster occurs, we will provide disaster information through the e-mail newsletter to your mobile phone. (Please let your friends know about it)

~This is based on the SIC mobile phone email newsletter.
