SIC Japanese language course “Netto de nihongo”

Who can participate?
This class is for people who want to learn Japanese language that will be useful in daily life in a class that matches their Japanese language level.
Those who meet all of the following conditions ① to ③ can participate.
①Person who lives or works in Shimane Prefecture
②Persons 16 years of age or older
③ People who can prepare the necessary items to participate online classes, such as a smartphone, computer, and internet environment.
Course details
- You will learn Japanese necessary for various aspects of life in Japan, such as working, shopping, going out, eating, and interacting with others.
- This is an adult course at A1-A2 level*.
- One class will study 90 minutes x 15 times, and classes 2 to 4 will study 90 minutes x 20 times.
- The teaching materials used are “Irodori: Japanese for Everyday Life” (Japan Foundation). It has been translated into many languages. Please see here.
- It is free.
- There are four classes.*Please check here for the Japanese language level.
Class 1
- Hiragana and Katakana (original teaching materials)
- “Irodori Japanese for Everyday Life Introductory/A1” Lessons 1-8
Class 2
- “Irodori Japanese for Everyday Life Introductory/A1” Lessons 9-18
Class 3
- “Irodori Japanese for Everyday Life Beginner 1/A2” Lessons 1-10
Class 4
- “Irodori Japanese for Everyday Life Beginner 1/A2” Lessons 11-18

Applications for April 2025 to March 2026
Applications for the May 2025 to September 2025 course are accepted in April.
Applications for the October 2025 to February 2026 course are accepted in September.
