A volunteers who make the interpretation in various situations of daily life (administrative consultation, education, medical care, welfare, various consultation and residents’ association activities, etc.). (Translation of documents is not available)

After you have attended a training course in Shimane International Center and submit the application form, there will be a simple interview and you will be register as a community interpreter volunteer.

Other registration requirements

  • Understand the purpose of the system and enthusiasm in activities
  • The ability to communicate in more than one language, including Japanese language
  • The resident is near or in the prefecture, lives in the neighborhood or commuting to work or school in the age of 18 years old or older (However, high school students are not included)
