The tree-piony (Botan in Japanese) is the prefectural flower of Shimane.

Shigesa Parade
−Saigo, Dogo Island A festival involving hundreds of people dancing
Dogo's famous Shigesa-bushi down the streets of Saigo. Look out for the
bulls who also take part in the parade!
