My
Wishes
Flowers are in bloom
Mountains are covered with trees
Birds sing a song happily
And all creatures live happily
These are my wishes
But these are only my wishes
In fact,
They are going to be lost. |
An
act of Kindness
An act of kindness
Can help the world
A tender heart
Can spread from human to human
I think we must protect world peace
We have to have our own idea
I'm thinking about peace
Just thinking
But the act will help the world
And keep peace
I hope to have peace, real peace
Japan is peaceful
But it is not real peace
When all living people can feel peace
It is real peace
I want to live in real peace. |

I tip-toe into the
kitchen to get a glass of water.
It is midnight and the house is sleeping. I
see a flicker of candle light and as I peek
through the door, I see a room full of cats
having a cat party. All are wearing colored
paper party hats with fancy satin ribbons and
there is an open wine bottle on a small table
and a can of smoked oysters which the cats eat
daintily.
In their merry making, the cats to not notice
me, and so I tip-toe back to my bed.
The next morning I and the cats pretend all
must have been a dream, and indeed it felt as
though it was so, had I not found the empty
wine bottle in the cupboard. |
